MSA ALUMNI ASSOCIATION
MORE THAN THE BEST THREE WEEKS

On opening day of MSA 2007 two alumni whose opening day was 20 years earlier have a picture taken with co-director Ted Tarkow. Bryan Watson, keynote speaker for Opening Day, and Monica Cawvey, MSA Development Officer remain dedicated to MSA.

The Missouri Scholars Academy Alumni Association is dedicated to helping MSA alumni maintain contacts forged over the three weeks spent at the academy and supporting future academies.

We sponsor an Alumni Day at the end of the second week of each academy and MSAAA hosts a fall reunion at the Lake of the Ozarks.

ALUMNI EVENTS

Each year, MSA Alumni help arriving scholars and their families feel “at home” by serving as “MSA Ambassadors” on opening day.  Alumni who are interested in returning in this capacity should contact Ted Tarkow (tarkowt@missouri.edu) for additional information.   The 2008 Ambassador coordinator will be Tom Bander (MSA ‘96; RA ‘99-’00).

The 2008 Alumni Day will be held Saturday, June 21, 2008.  “Conversations” (for MSAAA members) will begin at 2:00 PM.  Other festivities will begin at 3:00 PM. Additional information will be posted on this website in the spring.

The 2008 Fall Conference and Reunion will be held Saturday, October 25-Sunday, October 26, 2008, at the Inn at the Grand Glaize at the Lake of the Ozarks.
Post card instructions for on-line registration will be mailed to 2007 and 2008 scholars in early September; information will also be posted on this website.

The presentation of “Standing Ovation Awards” will again be a highlight of the reunion.  Nominations of individuals are welcome at any time.
